SXSW Launches Podcast Festival
The Penske Media festival will add a podcast festival as another track to its Innovation, Film & TV, Music and Comedy lineup March 15 - 21. Podcast sessions will run three days and be open to all badge holders.
Because of construction at the convention center and Paramount Theatre, the Film & TV conference will relocate to the Driskill and Stephen F. Austin hotels, according to the press release. The festival added two new badge tiers for C-Suite executives and Austin locals with exclusive perks.

Udio and GRAI are the first tech companies to license patents from the Universal Music Group subsidiary, Music IP Holdings (MIH). Their 24 patents are centered on AI-generated content from audio, video, images and text according to the press release.
One patent describes an AI clone approving derivative work on behalf of the artist.
More than 50 additional patents are pending. Observe the WORK first shared these patents when they were first filed back in May.
A second patent describes a system generating artist merchandise that could source fan-created work posted to the internet.
A third describes remixing a song’s genres and placing traceable digital watermarks.
